This past Saturday night, I was in tears because I am having so much difficulty in training my puppy. I thought I had found the answer with this website, I was so happy! The back of my mind told me something was off, but I was running on a mixture of very little sleep and desperation. As soon as I ordered, I thought, I better put this name into Google to see if it is legit. I can't say I was surprised when I found this page, and quickly went to my credit card to dispute the charges (I was not sent any dog training info from the "business", such as it is. Anyway, I was able to dispute the charge with my credit card today, and they reversed the charge. It's sad that this is the world we live in today, so many scammers out to make a quick and dirty buck. I also filed a report with the FBI, hopefully these jerks will get shut down.
Do not trust them with your credit card!!!! I order a hard copy training book. They issued 3 different charges one for $101.95, other for $37.00 and the third one for $97.00. I do not know the reason for 3 charges when I only want was the hard copy book. Also they charge me for international fees 3 charges for a total of $7.08. As far as I know Santa Monica, CA is still part of USA. After they got my credit card they charged me for whatever they sell without my authorization and refused to give me credit for the things I did not order but they say I did. I called them and they also denied the refund ant told me that my complain was outdated. My purchase was made on 12/27/2017 and I started to complain as my fist billing date Dec 12/ 2017 to Jan 11, 2018. I did not wait long to dispute but they absolutely denied my claims. Be careful with this people, they are professional thief, after they get your credit card number they charge anything they want. I have been charged total $247.05 for a book? This is the most expense book I ever paid for, but I did not order.
In competition, merely sitting, lying down, or walking on a leash are insufficient. The dog and handler must perform the activities off leash and in a highly stylized and carefully defined manner. For example, on a recall, the dog must come directly to the handler, without sniffing or veering to one side, and must sit straight in front of the handler, not at an angle or off to one side or the other. Training for obedience competitions builds on basic obedience training.
Submissive urination is a normal way for your puppy to demonstrate submissive behavior. Even a dog that is otherwise housetrained may leave dribbles and puddles of urine at your feet when greeting you. Excitement urination with a puppy is usually caused by lack of bladder control. The puppy is not aware that he is urinating; he's just excited and any punishment will only confuse him.

When you arrive to class we ask that you keep your distance from other owners and dogs, we will guide you over to your personal ‘pod’ which will be a small area reserved for you and your dog. This will give your dogs the best chance to feel comfortable and calm at the start of class. Once everyone has settled in their own areas your coach will start the class, there will be some time set aside for practical training and discussing key messages. In puppy classes there will also be some time scheduled for socialising with other class members.
Any area that the pup has access to must be kept clear and clean. Put out of puppy's reach anything you don't want him to chew or destroy. Do not allow your puppy to have unsupervised access to 'unchewables.' Do not chase the puppy in an attempt to take something away. Instead provide puppy with her own toys and teach her how to play with them exclusively.
I bought one of their books which is fine... Really disliked how they give you the "free" Elite Dog Club for one month then automatically charge your card $37 a month after. I went on there anyways to check it out while it was free for me. Personally it wasn't something I would pay $37 a month for so I canceled the subscription before they billed me. During the 2nd step of the 3 step process to cancel they offered me a ONE TIME FEE OF $37 TO HAVE A LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP!!! Positive reinforcement is the key to success. A common mistake is to punish your dog during training or become angry. This will only cause confusion. You can try to hold your dog's attention with treats and enthusiasm, but know that it is time to end a session when your dog becomes bored or tired. Try to end sessions on a positive note. Eventually, successful training will be achieved with patience and consistency.
To break this habit, you will have to get up very early one morning (when you have plenty of time), and get your puppy out on a walk before it has had its morning wee. You should not bring it home until it has been forced to go out of desperation. Head halters are an alternative to collars that works similarly to a horse halter. The halter fits over the dog's snout and behind its head (leading it to sometimes be mistaken for a muzzle). Very informative, detailed, and logically progressive. I have had great results training my puppy using the database thus far. In fact , I ordered the book and decided a week later I did not want it because the online version was more than adequate and they refunded my money right away. I agree that when you sigh up they promote much more than I was willing to sign up for but it was not an issue for me. If I were running this business, I would probably do the same.I am deducting one star for that reason alone because it did get very confusing. . Bottom line, the content is very well written, constructed, intuitive to follow and I am getting excellent results with my training.
Martingale collars (also called limited-slip collars) are usually made of flat nylon with a smaller fixed-length section (made of either nylon or a short length of chain) that, when pulled on by the leash, shortens up tightening the collar around the dog's neck, to a limited extent. When properly fitted, martingales are looser than flat-buckle collars when not tightened, and less severely corrective than slip collars when tightened.
Prong collars (also called 'pinch collars') are a series of chain links with blunted open ends turned towards the dog's neck. The design of the prong collar is such that it has a limited circumference unlike slip collars which do not have a limit on how far they can constrict on a dog's neck. The limited traction of the martingale chain combined with the angle of the prongs prevents the prongs moving close enough to pinch. The collar is designed to prevent the dog from pulling by applying pressure at each point against the dog's neck.
